A teen is recovering after being stabbed in the head with a screwdriver. Sheriff's deputies say they found the 19-year-old victim in the 12 hundred block of Padre Street at Cottonwood Road in southeast Bakersfield. He's said to be in stable condition at Kern Medical Center.

Deputies are now looking for the suspect, identified as Roman Perez, who they say was seen arguing with the teen. Perez is described as 6 feet tall, 190 pounds, with brown hair, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue sweater, blue jeans and black beanie cap. Deputies say he took off in a silver Dodge Neon.

Anyone with information in this case is asked to call the Sheriff's Department at 861-3110 or contact the Secret Witness Hotline at 322-4040.
