I don't think so... Beat who like a drum??? All you people like to judge right..well I think that the driver must of been a bad ass in driving since he was driving that fast and never lost control of the car... N well da passenger is just so cute... Lol... I just think everyone makes mistakes nobody is perfect... Eventually nobody was suppose to get hurt everyone is fine... Why make such a big deal out of it???... And at no point did they say they were proud Americans... But if u say so then that is ur opinion... :).... Chulooooo..... ;)

RVLADY--Please enlighten us on how you would have stopped this guy. Tell us, oh expert on police tactics and public safety, what you would have done. Ensure that your answer not violate state law, federal law, department policy, accepted best practices, or jeopardize the public more than what occurred during the pursuit. Remember, these guys were arrested, and no one in Bakersfield was hurt in the process. You're right, it was a mircle (sic) that someone wasn't killed. When the police are chasing someone who just shot someone, and is trying their best to escape, yep, it's dangerous! That's why the police exist, to arrest people who have committed crimes. When those people are driving a Mustang at 120mph, the ability to arrest gets a little complicated. Oh, and if you're going to suggest spike strips, please remember that they can only be deployed when there is a safe break in traffic, so as to not endanger the public, or the officers deploying them. Apparently, spikes weren't successful in this pursuit. According to you, "someone's not doing thier (sic) job!" But, I see you're performing your job of Monday Morning Quarterback, just fine.

It was a mircle that someone wasn't killed. He should not have been able to travel that far that fast. They should have gotten him stopped someway before he got very far.Someones not doing thier job!

There are some curves on Hwy 58 heading toward Bako that if you're going slightly over the speed limit you can feel your car being pulled toward the side of the road. Too bad this guy didn't get pulled over the side and take that long fall down the embankment. It would have saved us a whole lot of money down the line.

There was a small scuffle when he was taken into custody? They should have beat him like a snare drum!
