Traffic over mountain passes, including the Grapevine, could be affected by a storm that began battering Kern County Tuesday morning. A winter storm warning was issued beginning at noon and lasting until Wednesday morning.
Channel 17’s Kevin Charette said snow levels will start near the 4,500 foot level and drop to 3,000 feet Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
Between 5 and 12 inches of snow can be expected in Frazier Park, Cuddy Valley, Pine Mountain Club, Tehachapi, Alta Sierra and Walker Pass.
