A plane crashed at a Tehachapi Airport Saturday afternoon.

Investigators say the 2-seater glider was being towed by another plane, when for some reason the cable was cut loose, and the plane's wing hit the ground.

Crews say the plane cart-wheeled down the runway, damaging the plane's tail.

A 40-year-old pilot and nine-year-old were on board.

The boy was taken to a local hospital after complaining of pain. The pilot was not injured.

Crews are investigating the cause of the accident.
