The mother of a Taft toddler who sheriff's deputies say was beaten to death has been arrested.

Angela Hanna has been charged with second-degree murder, willful cruelty to a child and great bodily injury to a child.
Her daughter, Trinity Hanna, died Jan. 24, after being brought to San Joaquin Community Hospital.

Court documents show Angela Hanna had suspicions her 3-year-old daughter was being abused but she didn't tell authorities because her then-boyfriend, Eric Foster, had been in trouble with Child Protective Services before.

Angela Hanna is being held on $2 million bail.

Foster's case, now is eligible for death penalty prosecution. Foster is facing felony charges including first-degree murder.
But it's unclear if prosecutors will seek the death penalty in his case. He has pleaded not guilty.

*APPLAUSE* This is great news! Though it won't stop other parents from abusing their kids, at least this b**ch will be off the streets. I hope she is found guilty of ALL charges. Hopefully the court will pick a smart jury (remember Casey Anthony?) Also I hope prosecutors DO seek the death penalty for the ahole boyfriend, he deserves nothing less that to DIE. He should die a horrible and painful death but it won't happen. IF he is sentenced to death they will make it as humane as possible. WHY? He didn't think twice about the pain he inflicted on a helpless 3 year old, why should he have more rights than his victim? Only in America.....

Its about time!! Her and her sick boyfriend deserve the death penalty as far as I'm concerned. She needs to be sterilized along with her "man".

She deserves to be charged, tried and found guilty just as much as he does. To know that this boyfriend had prior issues with CPS and to allow him anywhere near her child when she suspected him of harming her child makes her even worse than he is in my opionion. NO PLEA DEAL, no lowering of bail, let her stay behind bars for a very, very long time.
