The armed robbery and shooting of a man in east Bakersfield yesterday may have been connected to a series of other incidents.

Deputies say a man was shot in the face yesterday morning on Jefferson Street after four robbers stopped him as he was backing out of his driveway. Minutes earlier, deputies say the same men may have tried to rob a woman about 3 miles away.

Deputies say at least one of the men involved in the robberies was himself shot about two hours later on Covey Street in Oildale. Mandfredy Yanes, 21, was dropped off at Kern Medical Center in critical condition by several other men who took off.

Deputies say he'll be booked on attempted murder and robbery charges when he's released.

I love me some street justice! One of the robbers gets shot, YESSSS! Too bad he's still clinging on to his worthless life! I'm sure it's not the first time nor the last time these guys will be involved in the harm of innocent people. Too bad the other three P.O.S's got away!
