What the heck did they expect? The president was attending and whether you're for him or not it was still a momentous event. When president comes to your town people ALWAYS crowd around so for them to say now that they didn't expect that kind of response is totally irresponsible. And if true, stupid.

A presidential event and they expected 20% to bomb out? Really? This is just poor planning and bad judgment. They could have accepted only the number they had room for, see who responded and then gone to a "waiting list" to fill the spots. This isn't rocket science. I think they probably bumped some of those who signed up first in order to accomodate people they deemed more important. Personally, I did not sign up as I don't have any desire to see Obama pandering to the Latino population which was what this was really all about.

First come first served, unless someone of more importance signs up late. But what did the lowly commoners expect with the UFW deciding who will attend?
