They may be little, but some local pre-schoolers are already proving they have big hearts.

Students at the Heir Force Academy in southwest Bakersfield have been saving their nickels, dimes, quarters and dollars for the people of Haiti.  On Friday, they presented $202.47 to the American Red Cross on the two month anniversary of the disaster.

When asked how much he brought, student Derek Getz said "lots."  Jake Kimsey said the people of Haiti "need money and houses."   Madison Highfill-Mann wants them to have "clothes and lots of shoes and stuff."  Miriam Clark said helping the people makes her feel "nice."

In addition to cash, the kids also donated one marble, five rocks and a token from Chuck E. Cheese.
