Murph56 I'd doubt the cartel shot her plane down unless they have SAM's in their arsenal. And the cost of a SAM it would be used on a political figure instead of a singer. It was most likely flying at 30,000 feet or higher, no gun shots would have reached the plane at that altitude. Being 43 yrs old with previous substantial damage I'd guess structural fatigue that was missed in it's last annual inspection brought it down.

Have no ideal who this women is! Now are they sure the cartel didn't shoot the jet down? Or would that be something swepted under the rug in Mexico?
