A 10-year-old girl was kidnapped and recovered Wednesday night with the help of her teenage siblings, according to the Sheriff's Department

After the victim's two sisters witnessed the kidnapping, the 16-year old sister got the help of her 17-year-old brother and went to the suspect's apartment.

When they got to the apartment, the two broke a window, forced entry through the front door, and recovered their sister.

The victim only suffered minor injuries.

Investigation led to the arrest of 28-year-old Cassandra Knox of Bakersfield.

Deputies did not say what the motive may have been.

Knox declined our request for a jailhouse interview this morning.

She faces charges of kidnapping and cruelty to a child.
