There are new numbers out on Kern County's housing market and they show some normal trends for the "off peak" season.

According to local Appraiser Gary Crabtree, January's median home price in the greater Bakersfield area dropped by nearly 6 percent from December but up fractionally from last January.

Supply is starting to increase but so are pending and contingent sales.

Active listings for January were down by more than 46 percent over January 2009.

Foreclosure listings were down by about 30 percent.

Foreclosure sales down by nearly 20 percent.

Crabtree says despite an increase in year-to-year home prices, the housing recovery in Bakersfield is far from over.
