I see Neligence all over this one! BPD and Hall Ambulance both. BPD needs to keep their noses out of playing Dr's. They are not medically trained and should have had this DR Transported for eval. after the accident. Well...Mr City Attorney..How much more can your city Insurance carrier take this time? $$$$ between BPD and KCSO, this county will be broke pretty soon.

rvlady, my comment wasn't referring to a news story. It was directed at your post. Is that so hard to understand?

Well no one knows how exactly things transpired and if or did her not take his meds but if they denied him help and BPD is blaming Hall then somone is at fault

In this case since we all know the local police are gods and always in control they are sure to put the blame on someone else! As for Hall they should be allowed to control the Ambulance service here in town as long as the owner is mayor, the cost for service has gone up 600% in the last 7 years, no other service in country has increased that much in that short of time in history!

While the Dr. had reportedly stopped taking his BP meds, a stroke can progress from a minimal event to a major event over a period of time. It's the delays in getting the critical medical attention that can result in the level of physical damages that someone like the Dr. has suffered. If I recall correctly, the Dr. was somewhat responding and as time progressed his condition deteriorated. None of us were present when the accident happened, but both the Police and the Emergency Reponse Personnel should have taken the 'accident' victim to a hospital for assessment immediately instead of making the assumption that he was drunk. I'm glad I am not on this jury because I see responsibility on the part of Dr, the Officer and the Ambulance Personnel and would have to recommend that there be compensation to a level 2/3rds against those responding to the accident.
