Forty eight-year-old Juan Jose Guerra was arrested Wednesday, as he was cruising a Midland, Texas neighborhood and watching children playing outside a church.  Guerra was a former operations manager at Big West Refinery in Bakersfield from 2006 until he was laid off in 2009, during the collapse of Flying J Incorporated.

Guerra was taken into custody after police searching his car found ropes, gloves, a condom, lubricant, Viagra, flex-cuffs, and a stun-gun, as well as maps of city parks in Midland.  When they searched his home, police say they uncovered child pornography and maps pinpointing Midland churches.

"I think many of the items confiscated out of his vehicle when he was stopped, could very well be defined as materials used to kidnap and rape someone.  This is a very dangerous person. This is a person who intended to do harm to someone and we're hoping to keep him in custody," said Tina Juaz, Midland Police Department.

Juan Guerra is being held on a $625,000 bond.
