Sorry my Dogo-loving friend, she's definitely too small to be a dogo and her head isn't right. I have a Dogo myself,and the breed standard for males is 90-120 lbs, with girls not that far behind. She's definitely a pitty. Adorable too.

The article is incorrect. Diamond is NOT a pitt bull. She is a Dogo Argentina. They are often mistaken as a pitt. Again...it is not the pitt bull it is the owner who creaes the problems. I rescued a young pitt and my daughter has had it for over 9 years with not one problem. He is a sweet baby. Diamond just needs a chance. The rescues are overwhelmed. They cannot possiby repond to all requests for help. I too have tried to contact other rescues for strays and got no response. It's sad They are doing their best and we should be thankful for what they do do.

A lot if not most dogs that bond with families are not compatible with other dogs. They have to learn thru supervised contact that other dogs are not a threat to their "pack" or family.

about a year ago I tried to contact Marley's Mutts regarding a pit bull that my dad had rescued. She was a wonderful dog but she was not compatible with the pit bulls that he already had. He couldn't keep her and I contacted them but never heard anything back, as a result we had to put her down. It was a very sad thing as she was a very sweet dog, just not dog friendly. It broke all of our hearts to see her have to be put down. I am glad for all of the good work that Marley's Mutts do but sad that I was never contacted in regards to my situation.
