Kern County fire investigators are looking into what sparked a house fire Saturday morning in Wasco. Crews including an engine from the California Correctional Institution in Wasco responded to the fire in the 1900 block of Gaston Street.
Damage to the 1200 square foot structure is estimated at $75,000. There were no injuries to the residents or firefighters. The cause is still under investigation. The Red Cross is helping the family of four that was displaced.
