A family of eight from Singapore was injured in a crash in northwest Bakersfield.
17 News was told the family was on its way to San Francisco around 7:30 Sunday night when the driver ran a stop sign and hit a maroon pickup truck at the intersection of 7th Standard Road and Highway 43. The CHP says the family in the van then collided with a big rig before coming to a stop.
Eight people in the van had minor to major injuries. The driver of pickup had minor injuries and the big rig driver was not hurt.
Officers say they do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
