The Kern County Sheriff's Department has released surveillance video of a driver who smashed his way into a local gun shop.

The driver of a light colored pickup truck crashed through the front door of the Ole Boys Outdoor store on Rosedale Highway, on June 16th.  He then went into the store and stole ten guns before getting back in the truck and taking off.

"We'd like to get these weapons back and get them off of the street.  So we could use any help," said Senior Deputy Michael Whorf. If anyone has information on these weapons being offered for sale or trade or things like that.  And we'd like to remind people that being in possession of a stolen weapon is a felony."

Officials say the thief was driving a stolen pickup.  If you have any information about the crime, you're urged to call the Sheriffs Department at 661-861-3110.
