The State Department of Real Estate is using a new law to bar former Realtor David Crisp from being involved with real estate.
The law prevents Crisp from holding any job in real estate for 3 years.
The D.R.E. stripped Crisp of his real estate license in October 2008, accusing him of enticing lenders to make $11 million in loans on homes based on bogus information.
The loan transactions are also the focus of an FBI criminal investigation.
D.R.E spokesman Tom Pool says a new law is being used to keep Crisp out of the business and put potential employers on notice not to hire him.
