The people do not get a dime, all of the profit goes to the city. Hey they need their weekly BBQ and Dinner parties too, just like Obama.

The CRV is intended to promote recycling. If the city wants people to use their bins, administration should ensure that the households get what is rightfully theirs. Would be a good way to promote recycling, if they could ensure that people get their CRV after their recycling has been sorted/accounted for. Also, it would be great if somebody could engineer some sort of electromagnetic lock that we could use to close the bins for good once we put them out on the curb, then the collector vehicle could automatically open them via its arm; that way we get rid of the "drug addict" problem...

Great, now the city want us to put all of our recyclable into the blue bins for the local drug addicts will have a easier time on trash day, we have the same ones on our block every trash day leaving a mess, wish we could just put them in the bins and have them hauled off.

OK, so we pay the markets a CRV for our purchases, and now we get to feed the city what money the "CRV" should be given back when we recycle...Gee sounds fair to me...
