Bakersfield Police are investigating a crash that killed a 16-year-old girl early Saturday morning.
Investigators say Desiree Nicole Rivera was a passenger in a Nissan Altima that was heading north on Old River Road.
The Altima struck a tree in the center median just south of White Lane and rolled.
The five other people inside the Altima were all taken to local hospitals with moderate injuries.
The cause of the accident has not been determined.
It's unclear whether alcohol or other drugs were a factor.
