A former Highland High School student turned personal trainer, has a dream to turn her experiences as a trainer into a TV series. But, she could use your help to do it.

It's called "Trainers", a show co-created by Bakersfield native Selah Victor.

Ever since she went to a performing arts magnet school in Bakersfield, she's loved acting. But, for the past decade or so she's been a personal trainer in Los Angeles.

The show is about a struggling gym trying to stay afloat. A lot of the humor comes from Selah's own experiences as a trainer.

"I've seen it all in the past ten years, whether it's someone falling off a treadmill or a client being stretched in a certain way," said Victor.

Basically enough slapstick, that she an her co-creator thought that the stories needed an audience. They created the web series, Trainers, which they hope to one day launch into a TV series but they've hit a common Hollywood roadblock: Money.

"We started to shoot a few episodes and realized we needed to do some fundraising and campaigning, so we started an Indiegogo site," said Victor.

And, that's where you come in. Indiegogo is a site that allows you to watch a series trailer to get a feel for the project. If you like what you see, you can donate money to the project.

In Selah's case, she's hoping to raise $5,000, which will fund the production of three new episodes.
