This guy had choices, one he could have backed up I used to back up big rigs around corners all he had to do was up a few feet. Two pull across a snap off the arm at the break away on the arm. Three never try to beat the train in the first place. Or four which is the one he picked cross in front of a fast moving train with a full length big rig without stopping and taking himself and the train out. He should be criminaly charged, he should lose everything, he should be deported, just because he is an idiot is no reason to feel sorry for him, because of his dumb action people got hurt, he should have know better!!!!!!!!!!!

He had insurance at the time the idiot tried to beat the train and lost, the insurance company will be the ones that will have to pay up, to do business in CA he would have needed atleast a one million dollar policy! Just for everyones information those railroad tracks are private property own by the railroad and a train has the right a way not the truck, didn't this guy have the sense to look before crossing in a big rig? I look before I cross in a car always have always will!I feel sorry for the people on the train that got hurt this guy is only worried about what he lost, deport him!

Whether this man did something wrong or not, he's already lost everything so where does Amtrak think they are going to get anything from him? You can't get blood from a turnip.
