Tomato Appetizer

Ingredients
3 medium, firm tomatoes, finely chopped
1/2 c. finely chopped red onion
3-4 fresh basil leaves, chopped
freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 Tbsp. wet garlic
3 Tbsp. olive oil
4 Tbsp. Balsamic vinegar or prepared Italian salad dressing
fresh French bread
whole Parmesan cheese, grated

Directions
Combine tomatoes, onion, basil, pepper, garlic, 2 Tbsp. olive oil and 3 Tbsp. vinegar. Mix together and set aside.

Slice bread diagonally and thinly. Mix remaining oil and vinegar, brush bread slices and sprinkle with black pepper. Grill or broil bread until golden, turning once. Evenly top bread with tomato mixture.

Serve while bread is warm and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
