The most obvious inspection you make will be the first. This can be as simple as taking an initial walk through the property at an open house or an individual showing. This initial inspection will determine your interest in the home. If you decide to purchase the home, sometime before closing you will need to have a detailed inspection of the home. A detailed inspection covers all aspects of the house including all of the home systems and structure elements. Inspections can also be made for radon(RAY-DON), asbestos(ASS-BESS-TUS), lead, and chemicals. You can contact your state's environmental protection office to see if the area you are considering has any history of problems. For more information on types of inspections, contact an inspection or real estate professional.
