On July 12 at the Truxtun Extension and Mohawk Avenue, a driver ran a red light, causing a five-car pile up. Jackie Van Cleave, 75, was in one of the cars. She died from her injuries. Now, her family is learning no charges will be filed. Video

A man who has been convicted of three sex crimes against children has been paroled to Kern County. Another victim who says she was raped and tortured by the man wants the public to know his face and be warned. The sex crimes allegations in her case were dropped in a plea deal. The effects of that bargain are still being felt. Video

A Bakersfield mother is the first graduate of a Kern County program that helps low income families save money for their futures. Just a few years ago single mother Tynisa Stone was homeless with her three children, now she owns her own business. Video
