The West fire in Tehachapi is moving so quickly many who were evacuated didn't have time to rescue their animals.
At last check animal control officials found 1 dog and ten cats dead.
Animal control officers have found several dogs roaming around in the area.
Officers are working to reunite the dogs with their owners via facebook.
They will be posting their photos in hopes their owners will find them.
One homeowner was able to find her kittens in the ashes left behind from the flames.
The tiny kitties just a few weeks old are unharmed.
There was also another bright story in all the tragedy.
One cow, was found with everything around him charred.
The cow is said to be fine despite everything around him being burned down.
