A large section of road that has been closed since September collapsed into the ocean Sunday in San Pedro, California.
The landslide, which began during the summer, washed part of the cliff into the ocean Sunday afternoon.
No injuries were reported and no structures were threatened.
City engineers are attempting to determine what caused the initial landslide near the White Point Nature Preserve.
Signs were posted, warning residents to stay away from the unstable area.
The landslide was moving at a rate of four inches per day, according to city engineers.
