The Bakersfield Commons project is an upscale development planned for the lot at Coffee and Brimhall Roads.

The city released its environmental impact report Tuesday for public review.

The public has 45 days to bring their concerns to the city.

This is a needed upgrade to Bakersfield to show the world we are an upscale city. There is only one anchor fashion store in our town. If we get a Nordstroms we can thumb our noses at Fresno. Bakersfield is coming of age and this mall proves it. Don't be a stick in the mud support growth in our gem of a city.
