EMIFile was created in 1996 and has provided peace of mind to thousands of individuals, young and old.

In the home, the EMIFile is either a large amber bottle in the refrigerator or a magnetized plastic sleeve on the front of the refrigerator. In the car, the EMIFile bottle is in the glove compartment. Each contains vital medical information on every member of the family.

Upon arrival at a home, or at the scene of an accident, paramedics see a special Star of Life decal on the front door of the home or windshield of the car indicating that an EMIFile is available.

Information such as blood type, physician’s name, allergies, and current medications is available inside the container.

Quickly briefed, the paramedic can effectively stabilize the patient and treat the emergency.
