The contempt case against two lawyers who defended convicted killer, Vincent Brothers, will move to Mojave.

Kern Superior Court CEO Terry McNally says a hearing is set for April 7th to determine further court dates.

The move comes after a successful bid by Defense Attorneys Michael Gardina and J. Anthony Bryan to have the case heard by a judge other than the one who presided over the Brothers murder trial.

A jury convicted Brothers of murdering five members of his family, including his wife, mother-in-law and three children.

Brothers testified he was in the Midwest visiting his family at the time of the murders, and was involved in a minor car crash.

Prosecutor Lisa Green presented a witness who said he was the one involved in the crash not Brothers
.
Judge Michael Bush accused Gardina and Bryan of withholding evidence that proved Brothers was lying about the alibi.

Bush also accused the two of insulting his integrity as a judge.
