Todd Strain has been KGET's Sports Director since June of 2001. A California native, Todd began his sports broadcasting career at KEYT in Santa Barbara, shortly after graduating from U.C.S.B. From there he moved on to KTVL in Medford, Oregon.
After almost 2 years "north of the border," Todd jumped at the opportunity to move back to California and became the Sports Director at KGET. Todd's work at KGET earned him the California-Nevada Associated Press Award for Best Sportscaster in 2002.
Todd and his wife, Cristin, enjoy living in Bakersfield and taking part in all the golden empire has to offer. When not playing, watching or reading about sports, Todd enjoys gourmet sandwiches, American history, and the beach!
Being a journalist, it's important he remains impartial, but Todd does say "GO LAKERS!"
