After saying goodbye to his hometown of Bellevue , Washington in July 2007, Tim joined KGET as a general assignment reporter.
Tim’s passion in broadcast journalism began several years ago in high school, where he devoted the last two years pursing this interest, working as an intern with two local news organizations. During his senior year, he chose broadcast journalism as his “senior project”, which was an extensive year-long effort to study all the aspects of broadcast news operations, working with and guided by the professional staff KING-5 in Seattle.
Additionally, during Tim’s senior year, he was recruited by two producers to intermittently host a weekly local program at the Bellevue School District’s local television station.
Tim attended Bellevue Community College as well as Bates Technical College, where he studied broadcast communications.
In his free time, Tim enjoys playing the guitar, singing, cooking, and surfing the waves at the coast.
Tim is looking forward to his continued involvement in the Bakersfield Community.
