Lou Wasson (KGET 2008)
Lou Wasson is thrilled to be a member of the 17 News Team, and is even happier to be a part of this great community. Lou started at KGET in February 2008, and hopes to contribute in any way possible, whether it is in news or sports.

Lou was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. He graduated from Fordham University in New York City in 2007, with a degree in Political Science. While at Fordham, Lou was the afternoon sports anchor at NPR station WFUV-FM. He was also a beat reporter for the Yankees, Mets, and Knicks.

Even though Lou loved working the New York sports beat, he also had a passion for the breaking news events of the day. He went to work at CNN for Anderson Cooper 360, as well for CNN’s United Nations bureau, where he interviewed some of the world’s greatest diplomats.

Lou also studied in Madrid, Spain in the Spring of 2006, and tries to keep up on his Spanish.

Lou won a New York Press Club Award in 2006, as well as two New York State Associated Press Special Mentions for his radio work.

As people will come to notice in his sportscasts, Lou is an avid fan of the Lakers and Dodgers. He loves to read, travel, talk politics, and go for the occasional run. If you have any questions Lou, please feel free to ask! He loves to talk.  LouWasson@kget.com
