Jennifer Duck joined the 17 News team in April 2009.
Prior to 17 News, Jennifer was the White House reporter and producer for ABC News based in the Washington, D.C. bureau. During her time at ABC, Jennifer focused on politics interviewing numerous leaders on Capitol Hill and at the White House. Most memorable are her months on the campaign trail when she interviewed President Barack Obama and traveled on the Straight Talk Express, tossing questions to Senator John McCain.
Jennifer also traveled with President George W. Bush throughout his final term in the White House. She covered summits in Eastern Europe and reported from the Olympics in Beijing. Her first big break at the network came in the courtroom while covering the CIA leak investigation.
While in college, Jennifer gained great experience from the Washington Media Fellowship and internships in Chicago (CLTV) and Phoenix (KSAZ). She earned an Associated Press award while working at NPR affiliate WMUB.
A native of Defiance, Ohio, Jennifer graduated from Miami University-Ohio with a degree in mass communication and political science. She loves calling California her new home, and often escapes the triple digit summer heat by heading to the beach with friends and family.
