Chris contacted 17 News. He wants to know why there's a 20-foot hole near the Buena Vista canal in southwest Bakersfield.
A Kern Delta Water District representative says this concrete pipe is actually an old pump stand left behind by the previous homeowner.
The district is trying to contact the new landowner to get it removed.
If they are not able to contact the owner, they will remove the pipe or fill it with dirt.
