Alice contacted 17 News, wanting to know why all the pine trees are dying on the Columbus Street median between Mt. Vernon Ave. and Oswell Street.

A Parks and Recreation representative says the trees in that area come back and look healthy look when it warms up.

A soil sample was taken several years ago and there were no abnormalities. The irrigations system was also checked and cleared.

The staff will continue to monitor the trees and take appropriate action, if necessary.
