Tom wants to know why there's a section missing on Patton Way. He says it's just north of Downing Avenue in northwest Bakersfield.
According to Barry Nienke with the Kern County Roads Department, the missing section is about 850 feet.
He says that part of the road has yet to be paved and comes to a dead end.
Nienke says the county will pave the road as money for the project becomes available.
