Connie contacted 17 News, wanting to know if the population signs for the city of Bakersfield are updated.
Caltrans representative Jose Camarena says the population counts are updated on city limit signs every few years or as requested by each respective community.
The latest census numbers are utilized from the California Department of Finance.
Bakersfield's signs have not been updated in several years, but are scheduled to be within the next few weeks.
