Toni contacted 17 news, wanting to know if the city of Bakersfield has an ordinance on yard sale signs.
Bakersfield Building Director Phil Burns says a yard sale is allowed to have two free-standing signs with one on-site and one off-site.
The signs cannot be illuminated, and the off-site sign cannot be attached to a utility pole, fence, or street sign.
The sign can also only stand for three consecutive days.
